As many of you may know the Colchester Highland Games & Gathering Society had it's last meeting late 2019

Due to some of the major roles in the society and board positions remaining unfilled we had no option but

to dissolve the society.

Sad as this was for many of us who had worked hard over the last 4 years to bring this event to the Colchester area, many of the events that made up the whole will continue:-

Colchester Highland Dance, Several Nova Scotia Pipe Bands, Nova Scotia Heavyweights, Canada Games Wrestling (originally Sprawlers), Greene Irish Dance, Gallus Gael Living History, Truro Cadets and the

Nova Scotia Highlanders to name a few will all continue in their own right. 

We would like to thank all of them for their support over the last few years and a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors who helped bring them together and make the games happen.

The COLCHESTER HIGHLAND GAMES & GATHERING was not only a

SPORTING EVENT (Heavyweights Maritime Championship, Wrestling, Tug O War & Athletics)

but also brought you

DANCE (Irish, Scottish Highland, Mik'maq & Ceilidh)

MUSIC (Pipe Bands, Live Music Stage with Internationally acclaimed artists & local Acts)

HISTORICAL RE-ENACTORS (18th century sword & muskets & modern warfare)

ARCHERY, FOOD TRUCKS, CRAFT FAIR, WORKSHOPS & Much, Much more...

 Over the last three years our local community has worked hard and put on some amazing fundraising events in order to bring you the best

Highland Games & Gathering in the Maritimes.

We were sad to hear of the passing of Allison MacLeod who was one of our amazing volunteers with the Highland Dancers. 

She will be greatly missed

Our thoughts are with Allison's family.
